Real Food Hollingdean is a new exciting project setting out to improve access to fresh, affordable, healthy food for residents of Hollingdean.

eat-more-vegIt aims to help people grow vegetables and fruit attractively in their front gardens and other green spaces around the area. It will teach the skills and show people how to get the best out of food-growing by working together and encouraging sharing. You don’t have to have a garden, just an interest in learning about food-growing. The first front garden designed using permaculture techniques (an environmental design system) is now nearly ready to be implemented.

The project is also looking for a volunteer treasurer – if you have relevant skills and would like to help a exciting, positive project, please contact Flo (flo@permaculturedesigner.co.uk) or Stephan (stephan@ brightonpermaculture.org.uk / 07917 364074).
