Dolphin House logoDolphin House Charity is raising much needed funds for its children’s clinics at New Road and its outreach work in Hollingdean, Moulsecoomb and Whitehawk by encouraging people to get sponsorship to walk; a mile, some, or all of the South Downs Way during the week of 16th-23rd September. The more the merrier and details can be found on the Dolphin House Clinic website.

If you can’t take part but would like to donate you can sponsor me (I’m doing the whole 100 miles) http://www.justgiving.com/Ali-Walters2012 or just donate directly to Dolphin House at http://www.justgiving.com/dolphinhouse/Donate. Hollingdean Skate Park planIt’s been a long time coming but at last the new skate park in Hollingdean Park, Lynchet Close, is happening! The contract has been awarded to Bendcrete.

Last week some of the skaters met with them to approve final changes, although there is very little change from the original design.

Bendcrete will liaise with the skaters throughout the build which starts on 8th May. It is expected to take approximately 6 weeks to build. The official opening will be at T in the Park on Sunday 1st July – so get the date in your diary.
