loansharks_tcm4-63871COMMUNITY ADVOCATE* TRAINING INVITE

* For residents actively involved in their local community perhaps through resident groups, panels or action teams

A loan shark is someone who lends money in the course of trade or business without a Consumer Credit Licence. Loan sharks rarely give any paperwork and if repayments are missed they might use violence and intimidation to get their money back. A dedicated team is cracking down on loan sharks in Brighton & Hove and they’d like to tell you more.

The training will give you in-depth information about the legislation, more about the Illegal Money Lending Team, what a loan shark is and the signs to look out for – and how you can help them in your local area.

There are two sessions; both are exactly the same just in different venues. The training is free of charge and open to any resident of Brighton & Hove. If you are a professional interested in training, please let us know as there is a different session for you.  To book your place, please email your name and mobile number to: housinginclusionteam@brighton-hove.gov.uk
