We have been awarded a small Grassroots grant from the Sussex Community Foundation. They supported us because we showed that the 45 or so residents who volunteer to produce & deliver HN make a contribution to Hollingdean, by keeping you in touch with what’s going on locally.
This month we also raised £52 with a tombola and ‘tin can alley ‘at Dorothy Stringer fair and a very kind reader made a donation. If you have any fundraising ideas, are willing to help out with any HN activities or want to contribute copy or feedback please get in touch.
The next Hollingdean News AGM is on Thursday 3rd March 7:00 – 8:30pm (venue to be confirmed).

The HN co-editor David is doing a charity run with a difference on September 26th. He and another 599 idiots volunteers are running through the City of London dressed as gorillas. It’s in aid of the Gorilla Fund – to raise money for the Rwandan mountain gorillas – one of the most endangered species on earth.
If you saw any of the brilliant BBC series Mountain Gorilla recently, then you’ll understand what important, valuable and beautiful creatures they are. If you missed the series then there are clips on the BBC website.
